Cheney has stated in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president he wants to work with a presidential candidate who is willing to be a cross-partisan collaborator and work with their political adversaries with respect and in a common cause. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. In the age of thirteen, Richard moved his family out of Nebraska and moved to Casper in the state of Casper where his father was director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
