Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for portraying naive characters that are charming and likable. Adams was raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as one of the seven kids who was her smallest. Her father was serving in U.S. service in Italy. In the early 1990s, Adams began performing and dancing professionally at the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Then, in Minnesota and at a local theatre, she was a cast as a character in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her screen debut was a huge success with the role of an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocating from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. She also raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. The actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her career in film in the late 1940s. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular movies in the subsequent decade such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film that was released in 1954).
