Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who would become Comaneci's coach later on she discovered her when she was six. Comaneci participated for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. In the following year, she was crowned champion. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior event for countries of the communist bloc she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an all-around junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver medal. In 1976, she was the first person in the world to utilize a reversed double salto in order to take off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the world of entertainment began in her teens when she began doing figure skating alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol ventured into the world of entertainment as a teenager. Early on she was a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured staged ice skating performances.
